Tea Tree Oil

Do not confuse the tea tree with the unrelated common tea plant that is used to make black and green teas.

The botanical name for tea tree oil is melaleuca alternifolia, tea tree oil was first named by captain james cook the explorer who discovered Australia in 1775

Due to tea tree oil’s antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, it has potential to work as a natural remedy for acne and other inflammatory skin conditions, including eczema and psoriasis.

Directions: mix one part tea tree oil with nine parts water and apply the mixture to affected areas with a cotton swab once or twice a day.
